    Doug Mcclain

    Good morning

    I have the 2A16 card.

    Winter Peace

Painted by Connie Slack in the early 1990’s for the National Geographic Society.

    The caption reads:

A snowy is serenity envelops Fraser Valley, Colorado, where  winter settles in for a long stay each year. Officially Fraser’s growing season last just four days—June 29 to July 3 —when on average heavy  frosts do not occur.  One year the average didn’t hold, however, the first frost of fall came on July 1!

Note the comment about the growing season lasting 4 days.

    Times have changed.

    Good luck in your quest.

    Cheers

    Doug McClain
