- I want to raise $500,000 to launch an online business, and I think I can do it with the boxes filled with old National Geographic magazines in my garage. There's nothing special about the 380 magazines, 30 years' worth dating back to the 1940s, other than my sentimental connection with them through my late, beloved grandmother "Grammie," who left them to me in her will.
