Why do you wish to join this community?

My father collected NGO since the 1930s up to the 1980s. He custom built shelves for them and saved every year. I cannot keep them. But, they are very special and I would like someone have them that would appreciate them

About Me:

My father was know for being an interesting conversationalist. He could make relevant comments on almost any topic. People assumed he had travelled a lot. But, he said he got his education from NGO since he could not afford college in the 1930s. Our family would get a subscription every Xmas. Our children enjoyed looking at the articles on animals. Later, they uses them and the maps for school or simply to broaden their knowledge. NG was an important part of our life.

Favorite National Geographic publication:

I cannot recall specifics, but one I especially remember had the beautiful beetles, scarab- like on the front. Another, a photo of a young ? Afghan girl with piercing eyes.

Favorite travel destination:

Northern Californian coast and four corners area especially New Mexico and Colorado
