Muri lagoon on the island of Rarotonga is one of the island's most beautiful locations, this lagoon and beach is a popular destination for swimming and snorkeling. Fine, firm sand and low tide conditions create a magical beach to stroll along. Large areas of the lagoon of Rarotonga have been placed under a traditional Raui Conservation System where a complete ban on fishing is enforced by the traditional leaders of the community. As a result of this, the marine life is now beautiful.
