The April 8, 2024 eclipse from Fredricksburg, Texas.
A few minutes before totality as seen through the clouds.

Technically, the journey to see the total eclipse was a success. I did see the totality through a hazy break in the clouds, for about 5 seconds. There was no time for a photo of it. It was nowhere near as impressive as the August 21, 2017, eclipse I saw from western Oregon.
This was my third total eclipse. My first was the March 7, 1970, eclipse I saw from Chincoteague Island, Virginia.
Tom, well those photos are lightyears ahead of the (bad) photos I tried to take April 8th. Thanks for sharing,
- Scott
