They are in excellent condition. I will take photos and try to post for you. I'm sorry I didn't respond. My father passed on and they were his. My brother wanted to throw them away, I stopped him.

Thanks for your reply. I am sorry about your father. You are absolutely right to keep the NG magazines. From the 70's they don't have notable monetary value, but as you go closer to the beginning of the 20-th century they increase in value. I am a recent collector and have an almost complete sequence from 1958 till present plus the 1920's. I am actually not collecting them as an investment but read them and use them in my classes (I teach ancient Egyptian grammar and history at Rutgers). Most vendors split the early issues and sell them separately since most collectors already have many and would not buy the whole lot. If I were you I would just keep them, they are a glimpse to the past. But if you want to sell them this corner has some postings on value on the Forum. In addition from 1888 October (the first issue) there is a full record of all the NG magazine sales on ebay till the 1920 issues. If you are interested I can send you the URL. The value of the magazines, especially the early issues are highly dependent on the condition; the sale price usually assumed VG (very good). Also bound volumes are usually better preserved but worth less. As I wrote you earlier I would also be very interested (till the 1930's) but if you have the time you could get much more by selling them separately. Best, Gabor
