question--what to do with large collection of NG magasines?

I am new to this site and joined to try a determine the best way to recycle my parent's collection of National Geographic magazines.  The collection goes from 1913 to 1989 with many duplicates and a few missing.  I have a complete list of missing mags, duplicates and also a list of indexes.

Can someone advise me as to how to proceed?

Pam,

This may give you a beginning:

You may also wish to give several of the dealers a call as listed under "dealer directory" at the top left of the main page of this forum.

Good luck!

Mel

I would be interested in the 1913 to 1919 issues, plus all maps you may have. Please advise. Thank you. bamalberti@comcast.net

I think I replied to your Comcast email.  I am not an accomplished forum user and didn't realize I could responed right here.  In case you don't get the email the basic drift of the message is that I am recovering from Thanksgiving and realize that Christmas is almost here and I am running out of time.  I may have to put the geographic project on hold for a bit.  I will get back to you as soon as I have sorted out some things.  since these magazines are part of my parent's estate, I am going to check with my sibs as to how they feel about splitting up the collection.  They may want me to look for someone who wants the whole set but either way I will let you know.

I too have a large collection of National Geographic Magazines.  My dad has been collecting for years and now has a complete collection from 1913 through the present plus a few from 1912 (July, August, September, October and December).  Dad would like to have them go as a complete set but don't know if that is possible.  If you hear of any good sources that want or need them I will be interested in hearing about them.
