How much is this collection worth?

Hi,

I am simply looking for some information on how much my fathers collection of National Geographics are worth. Looking around this site it sounds like they might not be very valuable but I would still like a rough estimate on how much you think he should be asking for them.

His collection goes from 1970 to 2006

Missing is January 1970 and November and December 2006 which is likely when he started and stopped collecting.

He has four containers of maps and other inserts.

He also has four index books. One from 1947 to 1983, one from 1888 to 1988, one from 1989 to 1993 and one from 1989 to 1998.

His collection also includes the slipcases for every month.

The issues are common and easily found at many locations, for slipcases those are valued around $6-8 per year depending on the earlier & later years for scarcity. A few key issues include articles on Titanic, June 85 and a handfull of others. Maps are $10 per five years complete. Indexes have some value, so all together the collection is with a moderate value combined.
