Disney finally got their logo on the cover (as Disney+).

I'm not sure why this issue was not the April issue, since Earth Day is in April, the documentary series airs in April, and the companion book came out on April 6th. This May cover advertises a program date that is already "in the past". I also hate, hate, hate the fact that lately these Nat Geo programs (like "The Right Stuff" and "Cosmos: Possible Worlds" from last year) are exclusively airing on Disney+ streaming . . . instead of both and/or on the NG Channels, and also, not available (not being issued) on dvd after original broadcasts. Tsk. Not all of us have streaming options at our disposal; we live in a dead zone where there's no DSL and very limited data usage internet plans. Disney/Nat Geo is blocking a lot of people from consuming their programming. This is the kind of silly crap I knew Disney would start foisting on Nat Geo when they took over Fox Corp. I remember growing up and how Disney always liked to make their films unavailable for purchase except for brief, limited release on VHS's every great once in a while . . .

Scott,

I thought about showing the 1963 cover, but Disney was a subject of an article.  It look's like Walt was the subject in the Nat Geo Kids as well.  When was it issued?  The current issue was the first Disney+ logo with the fairy arch to appear on the cover.  They have advertised shows before (red text, red banner, etc.)  but that was for specials on broadcast TV or for NatGeo/ NatGeo Wild.

Hopefully Starlink will be available in your area soon.  The internet is looking up.
