Thank You!
Hi Russ: You helped me out a few years ago. I thought I would try you again with a question I have about the worth of my dad's collection. No one here was willing to respond to my question. If you're willing and able could you please tell me if the collection is worth anything? I posted it on Craigslist a few months and got no replies. Thanks for your help!!  -Ed Miller

Hello, folks. New member here, very first post, and it's a series of related questions...

What is the source for the "Top 100" issues PDF posted here?

Was it the results of a poll? Was it vetted by any kind of panel?

And, while this may be a loaded question, how much 'concurrence' does there seem to be, in general, among the collectors' community, about the list? It's obviously very subjective. Nevertheless, based on my experiences with other collectibles, I can see how it's possible for a number of issues to emerge as more popular or more highly valued than others. In short, putting aside the idea that you could ever reach any kind of real concurrence on a list like this, did they "get it right" for the most part? Or are there some significant glaring omissions and inclusions? If so, what are they?

BACKGROUND-AS-INTRODUCTION:

On Father's Day, I decided to tackle the NG collection I inherited from my father. I've had it for sixteen years without really knowing much about it. It is now inventoried and photographed. My next step is research, to include this site.
