I am Australian teacher librarian and I am building a backset of National Geographics to refer to for my work. I don't really care much at all about whether some are reprints or originals, although I do know that connoisseurs are picky about these. I am presently the Library Services Co-ordinator for a local government municipality library. I can't say that I am a non-profit organisation, because I am not, but I would treasure and refer to them often, as I presently do the ones that I have. I don't know what happens in US, but here in Australia, few libraries have retained their print runs, even when they were complete from volume 1 - it is really rather criminal - I don't know what packing and shipping would cost from US, but I have freighted boxes of National Geographics by air from New Zealand and costs were ok, so it is within the realms of possibility. If the volumes that you have are till around and wanting for a new owner who will treasure the, please let me know.
I also have a large collection of National Georgraphics (Jan 1916-Dec 1988) that were left to me after my father passed. I need to liquidate the collection, as I am moving cross country. I saw your posting back in 2018 and I was wondering how successful you were in liquidating your collection? Any recommendations to share?
