Outside Looking In: How the World views the Yellow Border (and all that's in it)

Information

Outside Looking In: How the World views the Yellow Border (and all that's in it)

A place to post discussions, links, sharing, ideas, stories, about how other people and entities have seen, documented, or written about the Society, the Magazine, the Channel, etc.

Embrace the broad view. . . .this can include "ancillary" things like vintage books or publications that were written by key Society staff, or members or others associated thereof about topics that enjoyed prominent/partial coverage by N.G.S. through the years, but may not have been strictly an NGS book, program or whatnot.

If something has merely a loose connection to anything Nat Geo, this is the place for it.

If you have suggestions for the scope of this group, or even a better name for it, do let me know. Best,

Scott,

I guess this is where my post under "Ephemera" really belongs.  I was thinking of reworking it to put the newer additions we posted chronologically.  I also have some other ideas to post here.

Great, and I was hoping for that! I look forward to it, and I know over time, other members will retroactively appreciate such things as well. We know here at the 'Corner that posts are a longer-term engagement. I love it when I hear back 2-3 years later from someone who finds the site, sees "old" discussions, and the like.

I was going to message you later and ask if you'd like to tweak and re-post your list here. I wanted a group like this...and when you posted your list it sort of planted some proverbial hot coals under my feet (er, should I say fingers).

Note: Due to size constraints, I have to split my "Cultural Fixture" discussion into two parts.  (Maybe three down the the road, we'll see.)

Note: As expected, I had to further split the "Cultural Fixture" discussion.  It is now in three parts.

Here's a cute little item... I just came across this news story from "my neck of the woods":
