Being new to this Blogging lark I need to put you in the picture so to speak.

 

I acquired in 1984 National Geographic magazines, complete with their postal envelopes, from the previous owners of my then new home.

The previous owner had moved away in 1959 to Canada renting out this their house in the UK.

 

The National Geographic's kept coming but were never opened by the incumbent of the house. Finally the owner either cancelled them or diverted them to Canada but in the meantime there were editions from 1949 until 1962 stowed away in a cupboard.

 

When I bought the house in 1984 the previous owner gifted me the 150 no. or so copies rather than take them with him.

 

I looked at them at the time, studied the maps and then carefully stowed them away.

 

Recently I was in America on vacation and found out that there are many of you collectors out there.

 

Now, I was thinking maybe some of you need copies to complete collections and as I am retiring soon and will be moving to a smaller home I thought I ought to offer these out to you.

I have pictures of my magazines and these include ads such as Coca Cola which I have bee told are popular.

I can share these with you as and when.
