- I have always had an interest in national geographic magazines. I love to read and watch documentaries from near and far.
There was also a time when a photographer came over to Mangaia from the National Geographic society in between 1990-92 but unfortunately I do not recall his name. He took photos of our lifestyles in our village of Tamarua .After posing for him for three times doing the same thing (carrying a kettle of water up and down a slope) he stated that I will be a good model.He really gave me confidence because I thought I was up to no good then. Now I am finishing off a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and every time I come across a NG magazine I yearn to read about or see the photos that were taken by the photographer. Unfortunately I have not seen it yet but I will still be looking out for it. I normally reside on Mangaia but now I travel to the main island of Rarotonga to complete my studies at the University of the South Pacific.Hoping to become a teacher sooner or later.
