So sad. I always cringe at the noble lady's demise.

Hi Scott: Yes, it was so very, very sad the way the Yankee disintegrated over the years since 1964. The Yankee was a beautiful sailing vessel in her day... I can remember her very well. I was one of the last people to see her at anchor just 2 days B4 she went on the reef at Rarotonga. The next time which was 3 weeks later, she was high and dry on the reef at Avarua, Rarotonga.
